Risk Practices Consultant & Vice President, Lockton Companies

 

Louise has over ten years’ experience within the insurance industry, eight of these at Lockton. Louise currently works within the Risk Practices division – providing advice on analytics, programme design, marketing strategies, alternative risk financing and project management for both prospects and existing clients. Louise is also heavily involved in Lockton’s flagship training course, Flight School, aiming to make Lockton’s Account Executives more strategic advisors to their clients.

Louise also sits on Lockton’s “Women in Lockton” committee – driving strategy and change from within and creating wider networking opportunities across the industry.

Louise has a bachelor’s degree in Business & Finance and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Key Achievements

  • Qualified Chartered Insurance Practitioner and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
  • Participant in the Class of 2014/2015 CII New Generation Programme. An industry-wide 12 month training scheme and networking opportunity. Acted as the Group Leader for the Broking Faculty Group and published ‘Reputational Risks in a Social Media Culture’ within industry press .
  • Only UK participant selected to attend Lockton’s first ‘Brokerage School’ in Kansas City. I developed an understanding of ‘Lockton Advantage’; how to align Lockton’s service proposition with the needs of clients; how to use and access various internal resources; how to question effectively; how to negotiate, and successful techniques used to win new business.
  • Completed a 4 month secondment to Lockton Chicago. This placement involved working within a business unit on large US domiciled accounts, developing a good working knowledge of Workers Compensation, US litigation, loss sensitive programmes, alternative uses of large claims data, US insurance market and US client servicing techniques.
